Warhol’s Sex Parts and Torsos straddles the boundary between pornography and fine art, transforming images of male sexuality into objects of aesthetic contemplation. The Torsos were often likened to classical sculpture, while the more explicit Sex Parts images remained largely unseen for decades, reflecting both the taboos of the era and Warhol’s strategic ambiguity around sexuality in public life.
