Bruce Blum is a mostly self-taught photographer that is in his seventh decade as a photographer. He spent much of his life as an amateur photographer but in 1990 began to exhibit his work. Most of his work explores the interplay of light and dark in an abstracted or foreign setting.

From what we have read, this crypt displays the skulls and bones of over 3,700 friars from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Four skeletons are dressed in hooded robes and are holding crosses. One reclines in an alcove cut into the wall.
