Statue of Liberty and the Island of Manhattan, New York
Designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the statue was a gift from France to the United States and was dedicated in 1886. Standing at over 305 feet tall, including the pedestal, Lady Liberty holds a torch and a tablet representing the Declaration of Independence.
