Canadian Pacific Rockies Byron Harmon Vandyck Photogravure MT Assiniboine

MOUNT ASSINIBOINE. This is undoubtedly the most imposing mountain in the Canadian Rockies. At its base is a lake of marvellous blue; upon its shoulders are draped glaciers and snowfields of ice; its summit towers up to a height of 11,860 feet in the upper air, far above the sea of peaks by which it is surrounded.
