PLEASE NOTE this is a POSITIVE. Dimensions of the plaque: approximately 4.5 x 10.7 cm. Photo taken by a soldier photographer during World War I WW1. Source des Jeunes Grognards, Guerbigny, Somme, France. The image shows a man in military uniform in front of a sign reading “Source des Jeunes Grognards”. The sign appears to be placed in a wooded area, perhaps near a water source that was used by the military, the «Young Grognards». The term «Grognards» is often associated with soldiers of the Napoleonic army, but it could be used here to describe soldiers in a respectful or nostalgic way, comparing them to old veterans.
