1950s Photographs Mid Century Modern Furniture RCA Victor Television Alcohol

A pair of 1950s original 8″ x 10″ photographs , each showing the same piece of mid century modern furniture. One photo with the cabinet doors closed and the other photo with the doors opened. At the top-left is a Cabinet for a R. C. A. Victor Television. At the top-right is a Cabinet for LP Vinyl Records. At the lower-left are three wide Drawers. At the lower-right is an Alcohol Cabinet , with glasses , glass decanter , glass pitcher , and various alcohol bottles ( there’s a Seagram’s Canadian Whisky bottle and also a Ballantine’s Scotch bottle ) One of the records is titled » Naughty Nineties No. 2 » There’s also an ashtray with matchbox , a pitcher , and mid-century curtains ( at the far right ). These photos were taken in New York City in the 1950s. The photographs are curled at the left & right edges. The » open » photo has some paper adhered at the lower-right ( below the liquor cabinet ). Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer.

Original Ari Marcopoulos Gelatin Silver Of Artist Michael Heizer Mint Condition +++ This print was in a series of 15 in a NYC exhibition featuring Ari Marcopoulos’ work of various photography of iconic artists  16″ x 20″  Mint Condition +++ Framed Ari Marcopoulos Gelatin Silver of Michael Heizer (Artist) Michael Heizer, 1987, photographed by Ari Marcopoulos for an exhibition called The Project. Michael Heizer is known primarily as the sculptor whose monumental earthworks erected in the vast desert expanses of the American Midwest marked the beginning of the Land Art movement of the 1960’s. Ari Marcopoulos was born in Amsterdam and moved to New York in 1979. He began photographing the emergence of resistance movements and iconic artists, such as Michael Heizer, Jean-Michel Basquiat and David Hammons, with the same ease as the striking portraits of his own family and surroundings. His most recent solo exhibition, Architectures, was held at the New Orleans Museum of Art earlier this year. His work has been exhibited at The Project (Los Angeles), PS1/MOMA (New York), watervliet shell oil The Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art (San Francisco), Bern Kunsthalle (Bern), Porto Mercosul Biennial (Brazil), The 2002 Whitney Biennial (New York) and at The Photographers’ Gallery (London). His photography was also the subject of six monographs, including Out and About published by Alleged Press in 2005. His most recent book, The Chance is Higher, was published earlier this year.
