Here we have a photo showing Pahoehoe lava advancing west from fissure 7 (lava fountain in background) on Leilani Avenue. Fissure 7 activity had increased overnight, with lava fountains reaching 50 to 60 m (164 to 197 ft) high.

Here we have a photo showing an aerial view, looking south at Kilauea’s lower East Rift Zone. It shows continued fountaining of fissure 8 and the lava flow channel fed by it. Lava continues to flow quickly in these braided channels; the flow margins were stable and have not experienced any breakouts since June 5.

However lava continued to be erupted from the active fissure which appears to be accumulating within the flow and has widened the flow margins slightly.
