Gelatin Silver photographs measuring 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches on original mounts and over matttes measuring 13 x 16 inches. Each is signed and numbered from editions of 24 in pencil below image on the mount. Ready for framing. The first 5 are from his time at Isle Royale National Park in Michigan. He has been photographing the wilderness and printing black and white photographs in Alaska since 1987. Although he has taken some college classes in photography and attended several photography workshops, he is primarily self-taught using the Ansel Adams series of technical books. His photographs have been exhibited and awarded in over 55 exhibitions in Alaska, Russia, and the lower forty-eight states. The Anchorage Museum of History and Art, the Alaska State Museum in Juneau, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Museum have his photographs in their permanent collections. He has received two artist’s grants from the Alaska State Council of the Arts. He works with an 8×10 view camera in the field and spends considerable time in the darkroom developing film and making fine prints. Frank H. Jump’s photograph of acclaimed street mural artist Brett Cook-Dizney’s Mono-Cultures Dye Out – shot in May 1998 on Elizabeth Street, NYC. This image was exhibited in Manhattan’s HERE GALLERY in July 2000. Jump is best known for his photographic documentation of NYC ghost signs called The Fading Ad Campaign, of which 24 images were exhibited from April to November 1998 at the N-Y Historical Society.
