In these nude studies Meys juxtaposed shapely fit models (beautiful French girls) with porcelain type skin against the rough natural elements. Mey’s models often wore headbands and assumed poses that echoed the art deco «look» of the times – above all his pictures were always artistic and designed to radiate beauty. Due to demand and the success of his nude studies Meys developed a «multi media» traveling show where he exhibited his nudes throughout Europe to enthusiastic audiences utilizing a projection device with the pictures set to poetry which was read during the show.
