This print measures 81.5 x 24.1 cm [32″ x 9½»] and was published by the National Geographic Society from a photograph by Dr. Charles H. Walcott, Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution. It unfolds to 119 x 47 cm [47″ x 18½»] and is titled The Monarch of the Canadian Rockies — Robson Peak. Geographic features named in the upper and lower margin include Titkana Peak (9,320 Feet), Phillips Mt., (9,542 Feet), Hunga Glacier, Iyatunga Mt. (9,000 Feet), Blue Glacier, Robson Peak (13,068 Feet), Chupo Glacier, Robson Pass (5,550 Feet), and Berg Lake (5,500 Feet). The photograph was published as a supplement to the May 1913 edition of The National Geographic Magazine and is fully guaranteed to be genuine. Charles H. Walcott was an American paleontologist and administrator of the Smithsonian Institution for 20 years, from 1907 to 1927. He took this photograph in 1912 when he visited the Mount Robson region to study the geology and fossils of the Cambrian period. Condition: This original fold-out is in very good condition. bright and clean, with no rips or tears. It folds to approximately 6½» x 9¼», as issued. A previous owner has written «Mt.
