Founded in July 1873, Maison de la Bonne Presse was an important French publishing house. It had this name until 1969, before becoming Bayard Presse in 1970, in order to modernize its image. Rising from a rocky spur above the Rhine, Rheinstein Castle displays its restored medieval architecture in all its majesty. Crowned with a crenellated keep and flanked by Gothic towers, it overlooks the river like a guardian frozen in time, between sky and water. Its stone walls cling to the wooded slope, while the curtain walls seem to spring from the rocks themselves. A small Gothic oratory with a sloping roof stands out in the foreground, evoking both contemplation and feudal.
